The H Family

The fabulous and good looking person on the left (sorry G) is a friend from way back, as in all the way from our elementary years. You may remember her from here ?  Well she phoned me up to take some photo’s of her parents and their family in their beautiful backyard.  Reason being…….the house was SOLD.  Now they may be sad, or they may be happy I’m not sure, but I’m a little sad about the house being sold.  One it holds many dear childhood and teenage memories for me.  Waking up, making my bed and finding a quarter on it when I came to climb back in.  Or getting to eat my first toaster strudels, or lip syncing, or dressing up, working on homework, flying planes for French class etc.  There are a lot of memories for me their.  Another sad reason is they have such a beautiful backyard to photograph in…….I don’t know if I’ll dare ask the new home owners if I’m permitted to use the property for photo sessions. Regardless of all these memories I wis...

So that was my reaction this morning at 7 a.m. when I found out we have a new nephew/cousin.  Between packing, mowing the lawn, doing laundry and we’ll see if the house gets cleaned we went out for a quick drive to visit the little guy and his super happy parents.

Some Fun

Colouring Eggs……a good way to spend some time outdoors.   It’s rare that I can capture a smile on camera from this little guy, but when chocolate is involved he’s all smiles.  He learned how to say chocolate long before his sisters name. Showing off her Easter morning treat.  We tried not too put too many sweets in those baskets, but chocolate bunnies, well you can’t not….especially because they still share with Mom and Dad. Thanks Mom and Dad!!! We have a wonderful neighbour who adores children and holidays.  Last year she also hosted a egg hunt for our kids.  They had a blast!  Can you tell. This year we got to go on the hunt with some fellow neighbours who happen to also go to church with us   Thanks Mrs. R!!!!

Warning: For some this can cause some emotion, please have a tissue ready.

Maybe I shouldn’t be the one writing this post as their are so many fabulous writers out there. However here I am knowing that some people are eagerly waiting to see the photo’s that I had a privilege to take.  Not too long ago a lady in our church was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Currently she is in the battling stages.  Things don’t always go according to our plan, but they do go according to our Heavenly Father’s plan and so many of us in our church, and her family and many other friends have been lifting her up in prayer.  People pour out love in so many different ways, food, hugs, flowers, cards, words.  And for this occasion a few talented ladies came together with a brilliant idea to make a quilt.  Now it wasn’t just this idea to sew a gorgeous quilt together, but to involve many ladies from our  church to send a personal message of hope, comfort, love.  Once the messages and sewing were complete a beautiful tea was given by anot...
