Michael W. Smith | Concert, Personal

Image
How Could I forget to post about this fun concert we attended.  There were people throughout Broadway church who we knew.  We sat by my brother and sister-in-law.....who were on a date along with my brother's blackberry and the continuous Canucks dreadful score.  Glad we were at the concert and not that Canuck game. Here are some photo's of the night. (Didn't take any videos, so you'll have to go and put on one of his cd's). Downhere opened for Michael.  We didn't really know any of their songs, but they were good! http://www.downhere.com/  Check out their website. Michael and some of his crew.

Garden and Growth | Personal

Image
These 2 girls each planted a sunflower seed.  I thought it would be fun to chart in the growth of the sunflower to that of the girls.  They both seemed pretty excited about this idea.........but we'll see how excited they are by the time we've take 25 pictures.  Here they are together proud for the hard work they did in the garden. Of course they weren't wearing their Sunday best when they planted........but I forgot to take photo's of them on the day of planting as we were so busy with all kinds of things outdoors.  As tempting as it was to get out my camera and play around the weeds kept calling my name. And the garden markers.  This was also a fun, easy project for the girls.  They picked each garden marker carefully for each veggie. I didn't have any popsicle sticks in the house, but cutting up an icecream bucket did just the trick!  Ice cream buckets are also good for making shirt collar holders......(random I know).

Tea | Chilliwack

So a little while back we prepared a Tea for our GEMs and their moms. It was fun posing the mom's with their daughters. Some just wanted to act totally goofy with their sisters and others acted pretty proud with having their mom. We ate yummy cake, trifle, cheese and crackers and some fruit. The girls were to serve their mom's. Some moaned and groaned about this.......but I think it was well deserved of the mom's to be served for once. I think the girls actually enjoyed doing this in the end. We also made a flower arrangement per family in a little tea cup. This was an easy and fun craft and decorated our tables nicely after we were done. If you are interested in learning more about the GEMS program let me know. Its a fun way to interact with girls between the ages of 7-12. And of course at times with their family members too.

Is it an E or Z?

What are the girls holding? Did you look at their shirts. They are very excited and we had a fun time sharing our news this way. That was the real reason for our photo shoot a few weeks back! This is our l'il peanut at 9 weeks.  Isn't it amazing when you see a heart beating and legs kicking?
