Good Customer Service!

Image
Thank you for letting me know. I reviewed inventory and we currently are waiting for the replacement parts for this model to arrive. I would hate to have you wait. I’d like to send you a comparable bouncer to prevent any delay. You should receive it within 10 business days via FedEx.  I have enclosed a photo below. We do apologize for this inconvenience. Take care, Sophia Barras Kids II, Inc. Consumer Services Representative You are probably wondering what the note is above…its an email I received this morning about a baby product I complained just a little about.  I never thought in my mind that they would replace the whole entire bouncer.  Just maybe give me a slight tip to fix the one I purchased (second hand).  It  made my morning to see that some company’s stand so well behind there products and want to keep their customers happy!  Now off to my nesting instincts of cleaning the bathrooms and the freezer.

Peace and Quiet

Image
The three people in my life are all either sleeping or out for meetings leaving it very quiet in this house already at an early hour of 7:30 p.m.  I’ve caught up on all the journaling I do and painted the last of the trim that needs paint.  Today I put up the cradle for the baby and hopefully will post photo’s of the baby room soon.  Who knows maybe it will even have a baby in the photo with it by the time that rolls around? You are probably wondering why in the world I would post pictures of ice cream……….well I found these photo’s on my point and shoot camera that I forgot about and well it makes me want to go back to Tillamook and eat some more of that yummy ice cream, and well these are the 3 people in my every day life who I dearly love. So now I have to go and figure out how to kill some more time.  The computer isn’t really that great for my pregnancy carpal tunnel.  Hopefully this symptom goes ...

An embarrassment to our neighbours?

Image
So we discussed at dinner tonight what happened to our lawn..........we think our neighbours were kind enough to mow our lawn for us.  I guess they think we don't care about our yard right now because somehow today we noticed the mower lines in the lawn.  We are grateful, but also a little embarrassed. Anyways on to more exciting things.  My dear hubby took me out on the town Friday night.  It was our get-a-way for a baby moon if you want to call it, or a celebration for our anniversary that we'll probably miss out on celebrating as big as that since we'll hopefully have or be close to having this baby at that point.  It was a beautiful weekend to be traveling through the city.  Nothing feels as good as walking outdoors on a fall crisp morning......ok and than stopping at like a delicious crepe restaurant for breakfast.  We had a wonderful time together including spending a little money at IKEA. That was my first project for tonight was making our...

The banging of the ceiling makes time......

Image
So yes you're wondering what sort of title is this.  The final parts of the baby bedroom are taking place currently.  The new softest carpet is going to be put in there soon....so why the banging?  Well if you know anything about carpet laying it means hammering down those nasty nails on the outer edge that the carpet sticks on to.  I'm looking forward to having this lovely new carpet put in the room and the trim put up and that means we have to come and pick up the cradle and set it up.  Wow!  I can't believe that this baby should be arriving in like 3 weeks (yes I'm hoping less........but that hasn't happened to me yet). The other exciting part is we are finally putting our new lino in the bathroom.........you don't realize how excited I am about this!!!!  If you ever have to clean white looking lino you'll know why!  I can't stand it, I could wash our bathroom floor every day because it disgusts me every time I look down at it.  But curr...

R&R Engagement

Image
Isn't she just gorgeous. Really who has such beautiful long, natural red hair. All I can say it must come from my side of the family ;) I had a lot of fun working with these two.  When I was a kid I watched my cousin grow up.  I think I went to her place almost every Sunday that I was permitted for lunch.  And now look at her.......engaged and ready to get married.  She sure has grown into a beautiful women.  I think that is why I enjoyed this session so much because for some reason you always have something to catch up on with family.   R and R I wish you a GREAT engagement period in preparation for your wedding.  Enjoy this special time together.  And hopefully RF I get to at least see you walk down the aisle with your beautiful dress and amazing smile and your green eyes filled with love as they were on this day!

Being productive.........

Image
I've sat down now for the past few days attempting to work on some editing.(not always easy with 2 little monkey children roaming around) But I'm glad to say I've accomplished a fair amount today as well!  This includes finishing off my friends wedding photo's.......but I said I wasn't going to post any more than I already have until her other photographer puts things up on her blog. I also finished editing friends from churches family photo's.  I know the day wasn't the greatest.  If you're interested in their story you can Read  the story here.  Of course I can add my own tidbits on my blog :) This little cutie had such fun expressions..... And this is still a cutie!  Even if she was a little grumpy!  Can you blame her though, she had a terrible cold. The trick seemed to be bubbles, except when we quickly took them away to snap a few photo's.  She didn't care for that idea too much.  But hey 2 years old tend to hate getting photo's taken...

A good Friend

Image
Last week a friend I've known since grade 1 was married. That means we've known each other for like 20 years now. WOWZERS! She was so incredibly beautiful, her day was beautiful and the groom she married, well I won't say he was beautiful, but hilarious and well they do make a beautiful pair. I know they've been through their struggles for the years they dated, but I'm so happy that they now are married and well live close to where we live and I hope they remain happy and faithful and under God's goodness and love! Anyways she allowed me to second shoot for her wedding, which I felt very privileged to do. And all I have to say is I NEED to LEARN A LOT on developing my photography skills. But it was a GREAT day over all and I hope she finds a few of my photo's ok.........compared to her "real" photographer I'm sure it won't be that easy. Here is one photo that I would like to share from her day. I will post more when her other photograph...

Final Pictures of Oregon.......

Image
I wish I had my camera out and ready when she was laying back in this funky tire swing with her legs propped up in the air.  She refused to do it again for me of course. Someone thought it would be a great idea to make a chair out of a useless stump!  Very cool indeed. Excuse the weirdness of this photo.......but this is what my daughters wanted  to do!  Its evidence for the future that they can do dishes and love it! I just love this sign.  We did see this lighthouse once again, but due to some IDI_ +_ _ (you fill in the blank) who vandalized it we weren't allowed in. A was their 120th visitor of the day and received a pin for walking through the door.  They were celebrating 120 years. Love the coast! And so you know our last night we stayed in a hotel as it poured rain and we really didn't have the heart/gusto?  to set up camp in that type of weather.
