So I had the oppurtunity to try and do some more photography for someone in church.  Of course I happily obliged as I want to work on my portfolio and love having the practice.  Plus its a hobby and who doesn't like spending more time on their hobbies anyways?  Especially when it includes time away from your own kids. Aren't those bright blue eyes just so beautiful. And that precious red hair.  Kind of close to my heart.  I don't think I"ll ever get a redheaded child... And a thanks to my aunt for lending me this perfect basket. And the beautiful mom with her precious little princess.

So my first photography session was of my cute little nephew at only 3 days old.  He was very cooperative and seemed to sense that I was taking his photo as he would wake right up and remain calm.  So precious.  Though I did want to take some cute cuddly ones of him sleeping, he decided "No Way Auntie!" My sister had the cutest little piece of luggage/sewing box that we could place him in. And because he was so squished in the womb he still had nice squished legs to put in there. Of course I had to try this photo in black and white as well. Who can resist cute little baby feet.  Even if they are slightly wrinkled. As per my sisters request.........though I wasn't too impressed with myself on this shot. I never did get her opinion. And one with beautiful mom!

A day out

Well after my husband being gone for 11 daysto China The challenge of being home alone is now complete.  I was so thankful for my friend who came over on the weekend and rescued me from the Trying 3 year old and the 21 month old going on terrible 2's. (I do love them lots still). We also managed to sneak in some great photography time together.  Which is always a blast! Here are some highlights of the day. A shot that seems so easy, but yet difficult. (I have not edited any of my photo's this time around.) 3 going on 13? It's pink (kind of against all I like)   But still beautiful especially because its one of the first blossoms in spring. My other precious girl.  Who wasn't too sure about doing this shoot for her mom and auntie. Well that is all for me for now........will post some of my baby photography soon.

I'm finally putting this blog to some use.  A friend and I took a photography course back in the fall and we've compared notes and done an outing together and I've tried to put some of my skills to good use...... as in doing some photography for my new born nephew, and today I took some photo's of a friends baby who is 3 months old.  I'm not sure if this will eventually become a job for me, but right now it's just a wonderful hobby and I love practicing and learning new things every time I'm in the field.  Its so wonderful seeing God's fingerprints in different ways.  Whether its on that nature walk, or seeing that newborn baby, or watchin 2 toddlers coming up with fun and creative things to do. One of my first pictures on my new DSLR.  I love how even the raindrops are captured.
