To find the time……

Image
It’s 8:30 and I just got back from taking a photo for the day.  The sunset is pretty, but when you live in the city…….all you see is houses in between the pretty hues.  So this is what I captured while the sun was going down. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

For Friday

Image
I just was inspired that I need a photo of my mom for my dad’s book…….she has been working so hard and out of love for my dad.  Its so great to see that 38+ years and they are still so willing to care, love and help each other. This photo was taken in August 2010 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” John 15:9

“Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.”

Psalm 116:7 Thursday’s photo…….Friday I did not take out my camera for anything but the kids……so today I have to think up two.

God’s Promises….

Image
God's promises Are rainbows in the night Shining hope inside When shadows cloud my eyes His promises Are rainbows in the night Guiding through the darkest times God's promises are rainbows in the light -David Meece ”I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.” Genesis 9:13 So this photo was actually taken last night…..but still using it for today   It isn’t very easy to photograph a rainbow…I tried in Hawaii To capture the true vibrant colours is still a challenge to me.  Though the one from last night isn’t too bad I guess???? I did haul out my camera today too don’t worry…….. Pure Joy!  That is what he thought of his first swing ride in the park….we had to leave early and dodge the hail.  Its been quite a spring here in BC. Enjoy your day!

April 26

Image
Visited with both my mom and dad today.  They both are tired…..today my dad is going to be moved into a rehab centre, so I’m hoping this will help him a little more as they are set-up for this rather than him being cooped up in the hospital.  The visiting hours are a little more restricted here as well, so we’ll see how this works out too? Today I managed to get a few pictures out of my dad’s garden.  The rain has done some damage to all the petals……but I like this photo for the 2 red tulips don’t look like they truly belong there.  Like they are lights in a dull world.  Just like we are to be! “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5: 16

Encouragement

Image
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.” Philippians 4:12a When I uploaded this photo I saw a reflection that I didn’t notice before.  This is unedited, I would like to fix it a little, but for now this is the photo of today, April 25. I love you Dad!  I always thought my Dad’s favourite colour is yellow…….I’ll have to check with him tomorrow .

Easters Photo

I didn’t deliberately take any photo’s for the book this yesterday.  I did take out my camera though  so here it is Check out that loot!  Little E is my Dad’s 15th grandchild. ”His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.” Luke 1: 50

Psalm 102:11

“My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.”

Beautiful Spring Days

Image
Wow!  What amazing weather we are currently having.  So thankful because we can work on our yard these past 2 days and hopefully by the summertime we’ll have the ability to enjoy our own backyard! I know this mountain has been photographed so many times, but with the contrast of the sky and yeah….its just so nice!  This is from my in-laws back field.  What a view huh! (You) “Who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength.” Psalm 65:6 This was yesterdays photo.

Different…….

“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the "Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15 I’ve been wanting to do alphabet photo’s for a while, so this is something fun!  Its not one picture today, but I needed the series to make it work Can you guess what what the objects are.

Yesterday’s Edited

The Text by the way was Jeremiah 12:5

Picture 2

Well I put myself up to this……so here is picture number 2.  I was/am trying to capture the mangled, tangled mess of this plant.  Every twist and bend is so different. ”If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses?  If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?”

Picture Challenge

Image
So since my Dad has a new challenge in life I thought I would toss myself a challenge as well.  I have not been using my camera as much as I would like or really should be lately…….so I thought I would put it back to good use and do a picture a day for my Dad.  Than I want to add some sort of scripture to it and eventually make a nice book for him.  I want to see what sort of creativity my brain will have to find since I can’t take pictures of my kids every day .  This morning the April showers came pouring down, then the sun started beaming making for a bright contrast.  So here is today’s photo from my own garden.  My Dad has numerous of daffodils and tulips every year in his garden, but with a sick child I can’t go over there to take a photo of his, so mine will just have to do today. ”Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who sends the thunderstorms.  He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.”...

Life

Image
Our little man at 5 months old……testing out the jolly jumper.  He has also learned how to get up on his knees and push himself backwards.  Yesterday he got himself stuck under a couch……wonder how early he will walk? Phase 1 Phase 2 phase 3…. From one day crying about dirty hands……to having fun playing in the muck! That’s my dad in there with his sons and sons-in-law.  He was healthy, strong, joking, looking to buying a boat, enjoying most of his grandkids around him.  The next week my Dad had a stroke.  Explains my previous post about a roller coaster ride.  There was a moment when they were going to fly him to Royal Colombia, but thankfully God made things turn around quickly that night for my dad and he was pretty functional.  His leg and arm were a little numb, his mouth drooping, but his mind with it.  He was joking around with all of us kids and my mom surrounding his bed.  That night he had another stroke and no ...
