The Big Surprises

Image
For the past months we have been prepping to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary.  It began in January with an idea to make a book for my parents.  My sister-in-law and I would get together regularly and work away at it.  Then some very exciting news happened with the expected arrival of a new niece or nephew to come in September…….this left a big project on my hands which I was more than happy to oblige at as long as everyone else (5 other siblings) did their part! Here are a few peaks at this book.  Shutterfly is a wonderful company to work with as everyone could just upload photos that they liked and change their pages etc.. These pictures were fun to get.  I stole my parents wedding album right from under their nose……and they never noticed.  It was a good thing I snuck it back on time as my Mom did pull it out to show off on the actual day of the anniversary.   Couple pages Growing up pages individual grandchildren page...

Beautiful

Beautiful = wonderful; very pleasing or satisfying A moment tonight that will forever touch my heart was when I was given a small chore to do for a loving man. Although some tears were shed because it is something he desires I love that he trusts me with this task.  I will do this with all my heart because I love you Dad! (Stayed tuned as for what it is. I never know who reads this blog)

Oh What Fun!

Have you ever had to be in the situation of Mr. Quiet?  Well of course we’ve all had.  But how about a HUGE secret that you had to hold in for a very long time??? For months I’ve been hiding a secret from the majority of my family.  Parents, siblings, nieces, nephews etc.  Yesterday I finally permitted myself to reveal the secret for 2 important people!  My Mom and Dad.  The scheming that went on for sometime was organizing the anticipated arrival of 5 Oom’s and Tante’s from the Netherlands.  It began a few months ago with my uncle asking if I thought it would be good for some guests to come visit my parents.  My Dad is not in great health, and my Mom keeps very busy taking care of my Dad.  The answer to that question was simple.  A definite YES!  The next step was to plot out a sleeping location.  At first I thought it would be fun to sneak them all into my parents home.  They are empty nesters with 4 spare rooms……..but...

A Project complete = Rewarding

But I’m not going to blog about the title as I can’t share what that project is yet! For now here is Ms. A with her class on a fun filled field trip adventure. The Whole Class. Jumping on the BIG Pillow Even Miss (the best teacher ever!) joined in on the fun. Hayride!  Off to the pumpkin patch to pick out that precious pumpkin. I didn’t have time to take photo’s of what one Ms. A picked as I was too busy making sure the other 3 kids in my group could get their correct choice in pumpkin too! Wishing you a very happy Fall!

It has been a while (for me) anyways since I’ve posted a story on my blog.  There is something I’ve been working on while on the computer that has been keeping me off this blog, but its still a secret so it can’t be shared until after November Our little Miss B has caught up to big sister A with the removal of her training wheels.  The best part was watching her peddle and balance as best as she could.  The problem was those corners around the track.  just doing 3 things at once seemed too challenging at the time, so back on went the training wheels.  I wasn’t going to watch a spill on the road……It didn’t take long too figure out those turns and so now she’s on the 2 wheeler permanently.  She is so excited!!! These girls are bestfriends most days….if you could just here the giggles behind this photo. this is our grade 1er heading off to school.  She loves it!  At home we are experiencing much quieter days that is for sure. And one of our l...

A Beautiful Baby Girl

So to our surprise our friends call us saying they are in the hospital due to some pregnancy complications.  Ok, so our thoughts they get things under control the mom-to-be will be sent home on bed rest etc……well to our surprise the next morning we get a phone call.  We had a baby girl.  WHAT????  She was just under 3lbs.  Thankfully she is doing fabulous and we were even privileged to meet this l’il peanut.  Here are a few photo’s of our visit.   I believe her favourite place in the world! (with her mom) You can truly see how little she is when her mom puts her hands on her head.  We pray she continues to do well!  Keep growing little Miss M!!!!
