Seeing The Fingerprints

I have these photos on the computer of some end of the year events. Sports Day being the big highlight of the end of the year once again.  I even was suckered into running the relay for the school staff.  They didn’t have enough for a team…….so as a ex-staff member I took part.  We for sure didn’t win, but we didn’t lose either Both girls came home with a placing ribbon!  And both my boys loved watching all the activity.  Miss B at her Blue Heron field trip!  They went bug hunting and learned to draw a blue heron and a sleepy lion. Miss A on her Blue Heron field trip!  They planted trees in the worst soil ever (we’ll see if they survived the awful drought we’re having). And she also did art by learning to draw a minion and a beaver. I even managed to pull in some exercise on both field trips as its very accessible to get there on my bike.  10km round trip!

Double Party again……this time with a cousin.  A gender neutral cake was needed, so puzzle pieces it was! Getting spoiled from a special wise someone! Gotta love this bunch! Third doubled up party!  And it’s a girly cake!  So pretty and so not made by me!  I’d never accomplish this beauty! Playing with the kitties. Gifts!  Spoiled!  Fun! And on her real birthday!  She’s just thrilled.  one super happy 7 year old!  Where has the time gone?

This post is well past due as the next birthday since has come and gone, but what would it be if I didn’t post our sweet girls birthday!  Our brown eyed beauty who loves to help whenever and wherever she can!  Especially when it comes to our morning coffees!  Yes, she is a morning person…..her mother not so much, so it’s such a delight that she loves to do this for her dad and I.  She has hopes to be a barista one day. Woah!  that is a lot of girls!!!!  It was a double party with a friend so we probably had double the amount of friends. Enjoying the party…… Had fun with this cake! Summer holidays have long begun and we are settling nicely into the lazy days routine.....well in Alberta that is.  The last day of school I flew off to see my beautiful niece graduate from High School.  And with some turn in events our 1 week stay turned into a 2 week(+) stay for most of us... Someone has decided to up and leave for the middle of the world for a few days!  Ok! not out of choice, but for work purposes.  So rather than going crazy at home I'm driving my sister crazy with me and our 4 lovely children.....not sure when we'll be welcomed back, but for now it's all good. Somehow the little man missed out on the photos in the canola Always nice to have a photographer around.... I needed to wear a hat to a wedding recently (in this province) and because the yellow canola is so fun!  Thought I do a little photo shoot.
