This is a new year..... With many new changes happening our way.  Not sure how excited I am for 2016 really? We are on the hunt for a new home in a new town....but nothing has really crossed our paths yet. (Yes, we haven't even lived in the house we are currently for a year.) 1st and last Christmas in this house... Enjoyed this special day with my Dad as well. We are struggling watching my Dad suffering daily with disease.  We know and understand he's in God's loving care.  We enjoy the time he isn't doing to bad and can have good conversation.  We also see many wondrous ways God is working during these difficult days. We are currently hosting some visitors in our home! Hopefully they don't feel over hugged by some of our kids :)  But they are really loved! Birthday Celebration for my brother-in-law.  And it wouldn't be a birthday without singing and blowing out a candle! And our little guy has them wrapped around his finger!  Re...

Christmas Blessings to you!

Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas Season.  The season full of GREAT News and JOY.  God isn't just a serious, he grants us the biggest joy we could ever have.  And so we can reflect on this past 2015 in the remembrance that all we've been given, the good, the bad, the unknown, any happenings and say it was all part of God's plan, his perfect and good will! *It's been a whirlwind of a year, many changes happened in 2015 for us.  We lived without being able to tell my Mom every crazy thing that happened in our lives good or bad. *We moved neighbourhoods which was a good thing and a a sad thing all at the same time.  Our kids this morning still asked to move back to our "old" house.  (A family see we still Love you). *Everyone of our blessings grew one year older and remained healthy and happy *We did some great family adventures, some individual work travels and some travelling as a pair.  Those adventures (minus the work ones...

Wind....it's a rush

The first windstorm at our home took down the neighbours tree, the trampoline was picked up and carried away and broke and our power was knocked out for a few hours.  The noise was loud sleep was lost but mostly we were warm safe and fed.  It's like like a big gush of wind strikes things down, but you have to carry on and pick up the pieces.  Keep moving, clean it up as best as you can.  No it's not always replaceable or fixable, it makes things change, but who knows what those changes will bring.  The second windstorm did a lot more damage in the town we were in.  Many were without power, some for days, beautiful trees were knocked down, fences torn away, and well in our backyard 3 apples trees came crashing down.  No more applesauce from this backyard.  Again it's a matter of picking up the pieces, or cleaning up the mess and moving on.  No one was hurt with all those storms so that's a blessing indeed.  In the mea...

Our celebration

So we celebrated our 11th anniversary away from home in a warmer climate.  We challenged ourselves to do some new things on Maui.  We met our challenge and had a fantastic trip.  It was nice to relax and unwind from the super crazy happenings back at home.  Let's just say before I left for the trip I was more then ready to shut down my brain.  It was on overload..... Here are some photos from our journey. First Breakfast....so quiet Only could hear the crash of the waves and feel the breeze of the wind. This was our condo 12th floor ocean front On our anniversary we rented this little Vespa We zoomed around the west side of the island. We felt more secure on this thing on those 1.5 lane roads.  It is much easier to run the scooter off to the side in case you see a car coming at you head on last second as opposed to a car to car head on :) Some pictures of us in the tropical sunshine exploring the beauty. Ended our e...
