The second highest $$$ spent holiday......

Do you know what day that is?  It's Mother's day.  This is a really difficult time of year for me. All you hear is advertisements to buy mom this and buy mom that, or what are you best memories of your mom, or how are you going to spend your Mother's Day etc.  You've heard them all.  With all the money I can't buy my Mom back to even spend the day with her. I can't even send her a message, phone call or anything.  I continue to hold the memory that she was a beautiful Mom.  She cared for all her children, listened to everything we told her and taught us about our Heavenly Father.  The most important thing she ever did!  Now as a mom I will try carry out this task to my children.  Even though the pain will remain during this holiday there is still life here on earth and a Mom to love and to encourage all those around our family who are mom's.  Sending special hugs to my siblings for this upcoming Mother's Day and also know that many of you who've recently lost a Mom you're still in our thoughts and prayers and this day will be difficult, but not without hope!

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18

An old picture.....but a good one of my mom! Holding one of her precious grandchildren.  Treasured memory!

  1. Revelations 21:3 I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

Sharing your pain as you miss your Mom and Dad. May God's word and promises comfort and strengthen you.

We love you so much and thank God for giving you to us. Love from Mom

  2. I'm actually really surprised to learn Mother's Day is so high on the spending list! Thinking of you and saying an extra prayer...these holidays are the ones we too often forget how they affect people around us.
