Engagement memory has faded....
Our 6th day we awoke to dampness. We couldn't decide if it was raining or fogging outside....but everything is damp!
We headed back out to China Beach. We thought we were engaged here but nothing is familiar. The path and the beach were just all wrong.
The little guy claimed he had super sore legs as soon as we pulled up to the hike. Haha trying to get off another hike. In the mean time he has improved his counting skills dramatically. He no longer skips 13 and after 29 comes twenty-ten!
Even if the weather was all damp like there is a bonus...you get the whole beach to yourself!!! And there is still treasures to be found, shells to hunt, rocks to break and that perfect piece of drift wood as well as the calmness of the sea!
We headed back to our campsite to warm up and dry out a little. We set a few goals for camping and one of them was for a certain someone to learn to tie his shoes. We're almost at that goal by this day!!! Why are all the kids growing up so much.
While relaxing in our camp chairs we thought it was time for another hike in the area. So we head to Sandringham lighthouse. It was a short hike and had some yummy blackberries to munch on for a treat. Bonus the sun came out here and we were hot!!!
After all our hard hikes we thought we needed some extra calories and stopped in Shirley at the Shirley Delicious for a cuppa. It was one of the most fascinating cappuccinos I've ever had. Since the barista loved chatting to the kids I hope we took our new cappuccino making skills home with us.
