Seeing The Fingerprints

This one will always be a special memory. Love this little guy and my mom! Just missing a sister There are a lot of little gaffers in this photo so to get them to cooperate in such a small space was a little difficult, but these are a lot of my moms precious treasures. This little guy often sits patiently with my mom.  It’s like he knows she needs that extra comfort once in a while.  Birthday cake Birthday Ice-cream.  A good celebration over all….

A post a little different then normal for me, but I have been going through my Mom’s photos so I thought this would be a little fun.  

Blogging seems to fall to the wayside during the summer.  I guess that’s a good thing because it means we are preoccupied with many other things.  Those things aren’t camping though.  They are home Reno's……yes finding out our new flooring is coming in the day before we leave for a weekend away…….so we came home to two late nights of ripping, prepping, painting etc.  Finding mice nests.  (YUCK!) and picking paint colors, deciding to do way more than we anticipated at first, but it all is starting to come together.  Now just the tedious little jobs like painting trim, deciding on tile, putting up a mirror changing outlets etc. the jobs that get pushed back all the time because who really wants to do those? Anyways hopefully we will soon be back into order around these parts and enjoy quiet, relaxing evenings at home………….ahh who am I kidding right.  By that time school will be in session, Bible studies started, and who knows what sort of committees we w...

  So it’s the big 3-0 year for me and there is a lot going on in my life right now, but it doesn’t mean I’ve slowed down and haven’t taken time to celebrate the life I’ve been given.  So I’ve started celebrating this year with some great friends! These are the friends that have been around and supported me through all the important years, moments, and memories of life. These are what I call my golden friends. (You remember that song right.  Make new friends, but keep the old….)  Unfortunately all the golden friends couldn’t make it to this celebration.  Life has moved and shifted us all into many different directions. Some live farther away and others run very busy home lives.  We missed the ones that couldn’t make it, but the ones who did come.  I had a blast!  And I love you all!  Thanks for the fantastic weekend and to our one friends parents for loaning us this fantastic get-a-way location. Father’s Day has come and gone.  We had a fun time spoiling my kids’ dad.  We always have a hard time “spoiling” our own dads, but we did manage to get in some visits and a few treats. Here is D in his element with his kiddos. So much love!
