Boys

Image
This morning I was vehicle-less....and this afternoon I have to do a photo shoot.  So excited as been a very long time since I did one.  So the boys and I walked about and scoped out the area while I also managed to take out the camera and get a few cute smiles. Enjoy

Dad

God has granted us an earthly father.  He has showered all of his 6 children with love and care.  Recently we celebrated his life here on earth.  A 75 year milestone!  Each year hasn't been easy.  We've walked down many a complicated road with him.  This past week and a bit have also been a very big struggle, with much uncertainty in it.  Our earthly dad keeps reminding us of our Heavenly Father.  This Father grants us so much more care, attention and love than anyone else we know.  We are praying continually for this Heavenly Father to walk by our side and when we can't walk He is carrying us on this path of life. His well loved daughters.. And good looking sons All 6 of his blessings.... And many many more of his blessings...minus 8  Gotta love kids.  No matter what it's a party!   They all love him and he all loves them!  It was a good day of celebrating!

Summer (or part of it...)

Image
So the lazy days of summer are well into well I guess I can't say routine can I? Hmm just summer days is good right? Most people with school involvement knows what that means. Of course our summer vacation began in Alberta. Although I really can confess I was a little apprehensive with the amount of time we were going to spend there. But now I'm missing it!  The cousins got along famously. My sisters and I got along famously too!  And the brother in laws like my husband. 😊 We had a blast just chatting, eating, cooking, eating, quadding, eating, drinking coffee, playing, jeeping, eating, going to the river,  cleaning someone else's house (easier when's it's not yours), eating, slip and sliding, watching chickens escape, or a bunny running for its life, and so many smiles on faces. Ok I know we did a lot of eating! But eating with family is memories too!  Great dinner table discussions about pronouncing the words Canada and Canadian to the comparison Of Italy to It...

A mother's love

Image
So it's been a full year since we've seen our Mom.  A full year since we've said our good byes and gave our last hug.  1 year!  Time has been filled with many moments since that day 1 year ago.  The year where we did all the firsts without Mom. Missing her at our birthdays, or emails updating us on Dad, or on our anniversary, or a quick phone call.  It's the 1st year we don't hear her wisdom or a Bible text recommended by her.  But God has been good to us!  He has walked each and every day with us.  He guided our lives, protected us and surrounded us with a love greater than our Mom's.  Although it still hurts at times, we still have such a joy.  A joy knowing our Mom has so much joy.  A joy beyond anything we can fathom.  Peace!  She has peace! That day is so vivid in my mind, so well planned out by our Heavenly Father, each moment in the day  Mom left us here on earth, it was planned.  It was a typical Wednesda...

Last School Days

Image
I have these photos on the computer of some end of the year events. Sports Day being the big highlight of the end of the year once again.  I even was suckered into running the relay for the school staff.  They didn’t have enough for a team…….so as a ex-staff member I took part.  We for sure didn’t win, but we didn’t lose either Both girls came home with a placing ribbon!  And both my boys loved watching all the activity.  Miss B at her Blue Heron field trip!  They went bug hunting and learned to draw a blue heron and a sleepy lion. Miss A on her Blue Heron field trip!  They planted trees in the worst soil ever (we’ll see if they survived the awful drought we’re having). And she also did art by learning to draw a minion and a beaver. I even managed to pull in some exercise on both field trips as its very accessible to get there on my bike.  10km round trip!
