Seeing The Fingerprints

Do you know what day that is?  It's Mother's day.  This is a really difficult time of year for me. All you hear is advertisements to buy mom this and buy mom that, or what are you best memories of your mom, or how are you going to spend your Mother's Day etc.  You've heard them all.  With all the money I can't buy my Mom back to even spend the day with her. I can't even send her a message, phone call or anything.  I continue to hold the memory that she was a beautiful Mom.  She cared for all her children, listened to everything we told her and taught us about our Heavenly Father.  The most important thing she ever did!  Now as a mom I will try carry out this task to my children.  Even though the pain will remain during this holiday there is still life here on earth and a Mom to love and to encourage all those around our family who are mom's.  Sending special hugs to my siblings for this upcoming Mother's Day and also know that many of yo...

Our little "baby" has turned 3.  He brings much joy into our lives.  I can say a few mild heart attacks as well.  Either way there hasn't been much dullness in life since he arrived.  We love him for all who he is! from a few days old turning 1 almost 2 and full of spunk 3 and in love with paw patrol!

A certain little boy in my life is really missing his Grandpa! Here is our car conversation.... Mom, I really want Grandpa.  I don't want him to be sick anymore!  I want him to be all better!  I really want to go see him.  And when we go see him, Mom he is going to be all better! Well bud you know we can't see Grandpa right now, he isn't here anymore he is with Jesus.  And guess what he isn't sick anymore! No, but Mom I just really want to go see him.  He's all better right? I just want to go show him all our pictures of Florida on your phone.  Ok Mom, Grandpa really would like Florida. Ok, buddy I'm sure Grandpa would really love that!  But we won't see him until we go to Jesus or Jesus comes to see us. Ok, but I really still want to see Grandpa That just left me in tears. So sad that we have to miss our Dad and Grandpa, but we won't ask for him to come back.  For now we'll treasure that he left a mark of love on...

Only Family photo the whole trip??? Eagerly anticipating seeing dolphins. We found 3 But we also found moon snails, sea horses, shrimp, puffer fish and many other amazing sea creatures! Loving the boat Ride!!! This is how we travelled home!  It was an 18 hour trip from our yellow temporary home to our blue home.  We woke the kids up at 5...well actually they just fell back asleep in the car until 7.  Drove 3 hours.  Ate breakfast half in the car half in the airport. On the iPad!  His best thing ever1 Smiling because we made it on the plane with no hiccups Look at that mood lighting in the plane :) Shortly after the little guy was asking to get out of the plane somehow....he was even willing to jump. Spending time in LAX waiting for our last and final flight home.  Benches make for fantastic space shuttles! The flight back to SeaTac was uneventful and the drive home as well. Can't get enough of these beaches....well except for being attacked by the seagulls.  I even had one knock me on the back attempting to eat my lunch right out of my hands.  Thanks to these super heroes who hurriedly chased them away. Cruising in style! These are called Wehoo's.  They are a  so much cooler than the usual trail bike! Loving her ladies size cruiser... wait did I just say ladies???  She's growing so much. She did have a hard time at first getting used to breaking by back peddling  This girl rode a brand new bike!  The tires weren't as white when we were finished with it. this was my first bike.  After losing my pedal 3 times I traded it in.  Thankful we didn't crash into anyone. Saturday we checked out this orange juice factory.  We were hoping to watch them pack oranges and make juice.....but the nice factory workers were permitted the day off!  So that left us to testing some yummy orange juices and eating orange ice cream and other yummy treats instead before heading out to the shopping mall for a while.... This was the outside of our home away from home. Or as J called it our new home!  He was getting rather confused as we are planning to move.  As tempting as the Florida housing market is compared to our local market, we chose to just keep visiting Florida for now.  The Mr. thought working at Target may getting a little boring after a while. All dressed for church.  We enjoyed some nice services on the Sunday. More hanging around the house.  The little guys couldn't play scrabble so they were playing the iPad.   Game time on the patio sure is nice!  Looking forward to some warmer sun...

Starting our days inside our Florida sunshiny walled home included getting some TV time.  4 TV's in one house is a little over the top....but we're on holidays and so well we lounged by the TV. Found the cutest sea turtles touring Sanibel Island :) We visited J.N. Darling National Wildlife Refuge.  Of course we happened to go on the day when the animals were having a day of from visitors.... There is lots of other cool facts and things to see including becoming a sea turtle, holding a tortoise shell, sand dollars, seeing alligators and the thousands of shells lying around.  Sanibel is known to be a shelling island. We started getting fairly warm so time to head to those super soft beaches and head into that warm ocean for a swim.  Also hunt for some pretty amazing shells!
