Summer Life

Image
Summer = Laziness Well sort of...... We've moved, renovated, camped, travelled and now are attempting at settling into our new home...it's taking time to feel at home here.   The space and view are lovely, the new town is just taking some getting used to...... Here are some fun photos of our summer days. Picked and ate strawberries Watched the local parade in honour of our countries birthday. Renovations is a family effort!  Shout out to all those who helped us sweat out the hours of wall building, closet building, painting trim and more trim, fixing floors, toilets and much more.  Still have a few pieces to finish off.....but our renters are living in there.....wondering when we'll ever be done ;) Testing out the new backyard...... Experiencing life outside of the house for 6 nights at camp.  thanks   Stepping Stones  for taking care of our daughter well! Summer Date night....doing one of my f...

Early Summer Photography

I said I was behind the camera lens and the video camera lens with only 1 blog to prove it.... The wedding videos I won't post... they're large and the recipient just was given the first of the two videos.  It's always interesting attending a wedding for someone you don't know.  You learn a lot about a person on the day of their wedding.  Makes it a fun experience. The second photo shoot was for some fruzins.....yeah those  are friend cousins. It was fun to get "lost" in the shoot.  I left my cell phone behind and just went with it.....had I not finally clued in after much time had past that maybe I should check the time.  Well one dinner date was delayed a little while.  (Later it was crushed due to an ill child). Anyways here are a few from the session. It was a pleasure to take these photos and get lost in time.

Behind the Camera

I've had the opportunity to get behind my DSLR as well as the video camera.  I enjoy life behind the lens. The last time I was behind the camera in the beautiful weather I lost track of time and could've stayed out there for hours.....except a dinner date was calling so too bad for me! One of those opportunities behind the camera was spending time with my beautiful new niece.  Who's name means May the LORD add wise Joy. Her entering into this world has added such beauty into our lives admits a lot of grief and sadness. Although we've shed tears and we couldn't hear or see our parents (her grandparents) share in this Joy as well, we hold onto each other and see beauty in this little life! May God surround you as you raise this little beauty my dear sister and you can lean on us all for support! Here she is....

Another holiday.....another day without....

This was such a treasured day in my memory..... the last time my dad ever came over to our home.   He wasn't happy to come at first, but he also wasn't happy to go. Truly miss seeing him and with Father's Day coming up the hurt gets rubbed in again.  Missing his advice His phone calls emails Encouragement when we start something new.... Setting us our eyes upon our true Heavenly Father So this weekend, I will reflect what Dad would remind his children of. You will be ok!  Take care of each other and remember prayer and reading the Bible will help you through the tough days. Love to all my siblings as we walk through this the first time.
