Rain...no bucketing
I awoke to this drip drip plop sound. It is down pouring. The decision to head to Legoland this day may be a huge mistake...but the tickets were purchased. Or so we hope. The email with the tickets still hasn't come through this morning.
We packed up all our belongings as we are also switching homes today. Everything and everyone was in the van before 10 am the departure time!
We drove to Legoland and heard the paw patrol song for about 3/4's of the trip.
Then we arrived at Legoland parked our vehicle. Half way walking to the front gate realized our tablet with the confirmation number on it was still in the van...I waited and waited with the kids. Of course the tablet was dead....couldn't get the confirmation code. D was trying to charge it in the van but because it's not an apple device it wouldn't turn on right away....
So we went to the ticket booth to see f they could look it up via our credit card. Wasn't coming up. While D still waited for the guy to look it up. I waited by the bathroom to charge the tablet. Finally after more then10 minutes it turned on and our confirmation code was found.
Think that helped??? Nope! Still couldn't find our tickets in their system. By this time I was getting impatient. But the kids were being excellent. They were each given a Lego figure for waiting.
In the end we waited 50 minutes. We're given 2 fast passes for the whole crew and a bigger discount on our tickets then originally.
And guess what...we had a great day! Just a little drizzle, hardly any wait times as the park was empty!
And the kids were fantastic.
Here are some photos of all those great memories despite the hassle getting into the park.
E took this picture of me. Saying "mom the M is your letter you need a picture with the M" the first pictures he took I had no head...
All made out of Lego blocks. So cool!
1st ride of the day!
J kept saying Grandpas tractor grandpas tractor.
Meeting Mia from Lego friends. B's favorite character.
Miniature land. By this time J was refusing to look at the camera.
Pulling themselves up and letting themselves down.
Driving his first car alone. Don't ask how many accidents he got into...
Biggest highlight of the day! Getting there license on this track. They had to obey stop signs and stop lights. D has a photo of A on his phone...
This boat ride was also a huge highlight. The driving was a little interesting...but we made it through every time.
Oh yeah...we have kids who can take photos of us. I thought this Lego elephant was pretty amazing...my Tante in holland would probably like it. 😊 she used to collect elephants...
Last ride of the day was Island Sky where we could see an overview of what we did all day!
We left with new Lego to build and great memories. The kids just chatted and chatted about their day. Until they all fell asleep in the van.
We arrived safe and sound to our new vacation rental close to the beach.
Looking forward to the ocean and sand!

Wow, looks so cool!! Too bad about the slow start, but looks like at least it was worth it?
