A mother's love
So it's been a full year since we've seen our Mom. A full year since we've said our good byes and gave our last hug. 1 year! Time has been filled with many moments since that day 1 year ago. The year where we did all the firsts without Mom. Missing her at our birthdays, or emails updating us on Dad, or on our anniversary, or a quick phone call. It's the 1st year we don't hear her wisdom or a Bible text recommended by her. But God has been good to us! He has walked each and every day with us. He guided our lives, protected us and surrounded us with a love greater than our Mom's. Although it still hurts at times, we still have such a joy. A joy knowing our Mom has so much joy. A joy beyond anything we can fathom. Peace! She has peace!
That day is so vivid in my mind, so well planned out by our Heavenly Father, each moment in the day Mom left us here on earth, it was planned. It was a typical Wednesday for me, my "Mom" day. I had packed up the boys to take them to say hi only to discover that it was the last one they'd ever say. My Mother-in-law happened to be visiting and was able to take my boys home. Mom was surrounded by many of us who love her so we prayed with her, we read her the Bible and when we knew the end was near my Dad says "The angels are here to take you, you can go!" Then she left us. We felt her go with the angels. Now she's full of joy, peace, love. That day was full of love. It will always stand in my mind as my "Mom" day. We will always miss her dearly, but one day we hope to be reunited. God continues to guide our paths.
