Merry Christmas and Blessings to You for 2017
You Know its that "wonderful" time of the year....
Actually it's a really difficult time of year as well...
Our lives have been busy and full
But also empty and lost
I'm not sending out any Christmas cards this year, because this Christmas is a first without both my parents being around. And it was just too difficult to pick up the tripod and find that perfect family spot and then look at that address list and no Mom and Dad F. to be sent a card.
So I thought I would just send out a year of review on the blog instead.
January we hit the slopes with friends
We also lost my Dad (link to the post when we lost him) of his earthly body so he could be free from pain and spend life with our loving Saviour. There isn't a day that I don't go without missing him and my Mom.
February we just tried to compose ourselves into a new reality.
While March we decided to spend our last airline points and head to Florida one more time.
This was a surprise for our kids for spring break. Even if at first they didn't want to go, but Legoland and finding seashells were definitely worth it!!
As well as munching on the biggest ice cream sundae ever!!
We also visit places close to home and so sitting in a fighter jet is pretty great stuff.
We enjoyed a few concerts this year as well.
Piano Guys and Michael W. Smith/Amy Grant/Jordan Smith
Someone Graduated from Kindergarten!
Some of us have really tough days at home so when we go out this happens...
We learned to do Reno's this summer for our renters because we moved into a new home!
(If you need our new address please comment on the blog or send me an email)
Sometimes we dress up
Or dress up to be a flower girl
We also adventured out to Oregon with the kids aunt while petting bears, holding opossums and holding snow leopards on our lap and roaring like lions.
You know our adventures go on
Our journey goes on.
We have been richly Blessed as a family even if we have walked some difficult days this past year.
Continuing to pray for all our loved ones wherever you are!
May you celebrate this season with Love and ability to spread the Good News of it!
And May your 2017 be Blessed no matter what your circumstance.
With Love The V Family
I've been thinking of you a lot with this season coming up...praying you still find joy in Christmas even as you face it without your mom and dad. Beautiful photos of your beautiful family, thanks for sharing!
