Summer Season our second half
School finally ended officially at 5 p.m. on July 31 and so my "summer" break began! And has the month of August ever flown by!
We had camping, airshows, interviews, haying, guests, painting, firetrucks, nightmares, doughnuts, lazy days all packed into there.
Here are the photos and captions of our summer days!

Our special guests :). Enjoying a beach day with them.

Educating our guests about GAGA ball! This game may soon be brought to schools in the Netherlands!

'
The Game of SABOTUER.........with our guests at my brothers house. This is a super fun and quick card game you can play with up to 10 people! My kids love teaching people the game if you want to come over and learn.

Swimming in their "favourite" uncles pool. (His words not mine)

Hanging out with some fantastic cousin!

YIKES! If you want to know more about this story its quite crazy. Let's just say having to call 911 and helping your neighbour leave their home that is burning down doesn't leave a very good feeling...

However I have a new found respect for our fire department. They handled the situation so well. They were caring and took the time to talk to us about the fire and answered every question the kids had! It's a dangerous job they have and we learned a lot that day....even if it was something we'd never want to experience.

The damage we see daily.... We are so thankful our neighbour were safe and sound!

Then Our oldest and her cousin went away and had a fantastic time camping at Stepping Stones
Eating local fruit! Is a definite summer must.
Walk by the River.....or how some of us "walk"
On to some new experiences....she spent her hard earned babysitting money for a new musical adventure.
Ordinary day.....but this guy made me jump 5 miles when his camera flash went flying through my kitchen and I looked up and saw him with his crazy mask... Ahahaha ok I'm laughing now but did have to hold my heart for a moment.
"ordinary" days of summer.....
Baking cinnamon buns and staining things
Working as a team!
Caught a Salamander in our backyard! So fun to watch and learn about these critters (outdoors)
Having so much fun at a friends house.
Our summer usually involves swimming lessons.
Summertime with friends....nothing like it. These kids made doughnuts! YUM!
'hanging' out a Grandmas with little cousins
Our summer usually involves Hay Time!
This guy won a contest for the newspaper and had the job of interviewing some pilots...(tough job). he was paid in airshow tickets for our family!
Not many people were privileged to stand so close to these planes...this is the HOTSPOT
The interviewers and pilots.
We had another fantastic time watching the show!
We snuck off for one last quick camping trip.....
Our guests went on their own adventure but came back for another quick visit before heading off to far away lands..
Goodbyes are never fun, but so thankful we could spend this time with them!
Another new adventure. The girls were allowed to be a part of an art class this summer!
Of course we did lots of reading this summer! They finished their reading program.
Many giggles after volleyball camp....
That is almost the end of summer at home season...
We have packed in so many things.
We are so blessed!
I too am getting ready for back to school....excited to start my program and hopefully push my way through this school year!
