Mountains
How did it become Octoberš®
Whirlwind September is past and it had a lot of different happenings. I joined most of my crew by putting on a backpack and headed off to school this fall. Books, pencils, papers, notes, fieldtrip, schedules , routines....I think we are almost used to it. In case you’re involved with school systems week 6 is almost over.
These past 6 weeks have been more then scaling mountains of homework, stress, and schedules we threw in some fun things too. Including harvest and stopping to be thankful for it. Exploring the elements of how science is a part of our lives. Even more wonderful is knowing our creator who made it all so we can explore these wonders. We watched magic and changed our look. Golfed and were wined and dined. Explored school grounds and spent time with friends. Had picnics and became airplanes. Discovered new foods and hiked to the top of a mountain while being put in awe. (As I’m rereading this it’s no wonder that 6 weeks felt like so long ago. That’s a lot of things packed in between ordinary life. )
How has your fall season been?
Of course I will close with the photos of some of these events.

The harvesting....our backyard can be a little sketchy under the fruit trees. But seeing the loaded pear and apple trees it was time to put the fears away and pick the trees. Ok this useful tool loaned out to us was really fantastic! Even if it the tree managed to Out win the tool and broke it apart.
Working together so that we can eat all these wonderful fruits all winter long!
Look who we found....nope not at the zoo.....
Nope we are not at the the carnival.....
Can you guess it yet?
How about now?
It's Science world! :)
And a tip....if you're a teacher you get in for free!
Glasses and haircuts! Always fun to get some new looks before heading off to school.
School Days....
And just doing the 'ordinary' at home play things. Like using Dad's tools to build something!
Learning about magic....
I skipped some of class for this........apparently I didn't miss much, so that was a relief!
Because who would want to miss out on....
WINE!!!!
Mission Hill Winery...So beautiful.
With the BEST boss ever! And his LOVELY wife :)
Yes, that was a lot of wine glasses/person. This dinner in this room was wow!
The Team!
Using our time wisely....a self guided wine tour on bike......
Trying to figure out where 'Mom's' school got these awesome chairs.. She would really appreciate them in her school.
This was during the 'tour' of my school. It was pretty fun to take the kids through a University. There is so much to see and do on campus.
'Real' field trips...
Enjoying the Fall Days with a picnic.
Love these kids!!!
It's pretty fun to be airplanes!
Or when to tell the fountain to shoot up water!
Trying new foods...yup croquet hotdogs. Delicious.
