To The Man I Married

(PC Charlene Stam Photography)

It was a flutter in my heart that stirred
A Battle to gain your attention
A Hand that guided it into a direction
The road of two travelled
Merged into one
It has been one of pot holes, dips and curves
Winds that blow calm most days
Others that storm drops of rain
Even though it feels unsteady at times
Knowing who made the road
Gives us confidence to carry on together
In Faith, Love and Hope

Thank you to my husband for loving me these past 15 years of marriage and for the time before we were married as well.  We took off on a little trip to celebrate.  We had a blast exploring our own "backyard."  Starting with cirque de Soleil in Vancouver, some coffee and breakfast in a random cafe the next morning, a little shopping.  Then enjoyed the calmness of UBC Botanical Gardens as you can see it beginning to fall asleep for the winter months.  Then in Whistler and surrounding areas hiking different pathways including Joffre Lakes and Trainwreck.  We also walked around Whistler village a lot for snacks, breakfasts, dinners and spent some quiet time at the Scandinavian spa...
We took the time to chat about our marriage and reflected how truly blessed we are.

(Sorry for the lack of photos they are mostly on D's phone)
