To The Man I Married

Image
(PC Charlene Stam Photography) It was a flutter in my heart that stirred A Battle to gain your attention A Hand that guided it into a direction The road of two travelled Merged into one It has been one of pot holes, dips and curves Winds that blow calm most days  Others that storm drops of rain Even though it feels unsteady at times Knowing who made the road Gives us confidence to carry on together In Faith, Love and Hope Thank you to my husband for loving me these past 15 years of marriage and for the time before we were married as well.  We took off on a little trip to celebrate.  We had a blast exploring our own "backyard."  Starting with cirque de Soleil in Vancouver, some coffee and breakfast in a random cafe the next morning, a little shopping.  Then enjoyed the calmness of UBC Botanical Gardens as you can see it beginning to fall asleep for the winter months.  Then in Whistler and surrounding areas hiking d...

Moments...without

Image
5 years it has been since Mom went to be with our Maker.  The day of her death is still vivid in my mind. A day where we felt her leave our presence, went with the angels to be with her heavenly Father. 4 years and one day ago, my Dads celebrated his 75th Birthday.   The day he was officially re-diagnosed with kidney cancer, and since we had walked the walk with Mom we treasured the moments we were given with Dad while he remained on earth. Although time goes by quickly there are moments we wish we could share with them. Like important graduations, weddings, and sharing stories of our trips away. A parents love is valuable! Have you let your parents know how important they are to you? I came across this photo the other day and love the trust of a child (that’s me) being in her Daddy’s arms!!  How much greater do we have a God who carries us in our struggles! Moments that Moved to Memories..........

Summer is full of HIGHLIGHTS.....

Plus on her actual birthday she had some out of town guests help us celebrate!! So fun and special. Finishing of the school year strong...the second graduate in the house!  :) This girl was next....along with her cousin.  They are great frousins and could not be there for each others graduation because they were on the same evening, so instead they got their hair done and dressed up together instead.   Celebrating with her third graduate in the house! We traveled a little East to watch this guy graduate. Another graduate....it was the year of graduations.  We quickly went over to take some photos of this handsome cousin/nephew!!   Our out of town guests came, left, and came back.  I just love how our kids connect with them even though they really ...

University in your 30's

Image
Well it is official I am done university!  It has been 2 months since I wrote my last exam and I am  missing it........Ok not the exam part, the idea of going to classes and learning.  What started out to be a terrifying idea of going back to university after years of being out of school now is a desirable location.  If you are reading this blog and have any hesitations, or excuses about going to university because at your age it's not worth it, or too scary don't listen to yourself!  You can do it.  Start at a slow pace!  So many of my classmates were "experienced" Adults and were working their way through school at different paces to get to their end goals.  Some finished their program and decided to study further. Some of my courses were interesting, some were challenging, some were annoying, some were fascinating, but all of them taught me something. My favourite class of all was when we got to play with fidgets..... I loved working ...
