Trestle Bridge

Nothing quite like waking up the roar and crash of the ocean waves.  It's one of my favourite sounds! It also is just calming listening to it during the night.

"Mightier than the thunder of the great waters,
mightier than the breakers of the sea -
the LORD on high is Mighty".  Ps. 93:4

Today was a good day....even if we've been living in the misty fog of the ocean.  After a tasty breakfast it was cupcake time!  Followed by a bike ride to the beach to burn off those cupcakes and this time around we made some rock art!  The beach was full of warm sunshine and the campsite was little cold in the fog.

After lunch we headed into Sooke again for a super fun bike ride on the Galloping Goose Trail!  If you are in the area this is a great ride!  The trestle bridges were a super highlight.

We had a treat at McDonalds and then headed back to the frozen campground....
Kids took off on their bikes along with the walkie talkies and were entertained for a long time!!

After lounging long enough we headed down the beach from the trail behind our campsite.  Unfortunately the chill was still down on the beach here.  To get the kids off the beach we had timed races up the stairs and jumped into the cozy trailer with the heater on....but behind the furnace sound was a much more beautiful sound of the wind blowing and the waves crashing......

We didn't meet the 10,000 steps today somehow even though we biked a lot and even had a good game of badminton going.....
