Buttons, Lego, Sunsets, Whales, Destinations...
Rather than heading to the mall this Boxing Day we explored the above.....can you figure out where we are? The name is on the photo.
Clue #2 if you didn't see it earlier.
When we entered on board the gentleman welcoming us told J that you can push any button on the ship. His response, "You can press any button, that's incredible"
There were a lot of buttons!!!
Endless doors....
More buttons....
Even though it was the busiest day on the USS Midway I think this was one of our favourite outings. There is so much to learn and see and touch on the ship. It really gives you an appreciation for the Navy. One veteran was evening trying to recruit our oldest for the Navy....she's a little young yet.
Another beautiful sunset to end our day along with exploring the tide pools.
The Next Day we went to...........
First part of the word starts with an L and ends with an O and something to do with land...
With a long day of adventures in the park of Lego we decided we needed a chill out kind of day. This meant a lot of pool time!
Looks inviting....but the temperature was a little too chilly for me.
Also spending some time beyblade battling
Off exploring another beautiful sunset!
The colours were so fantastic!
After a day of relaxation it was time to hit the seas and find some of God's largest creatures.
Here is the tail end of one.
Some kids were in shorts and their Mom was in need of a toque.
After exploring on the water it was time for fun by the water
Mmmmm I could go back and eat this...churro and dole whip. Sooo good!
We explored around downtown Disney afterward, so we missed a beach side sunset.
The next day we worshipped with those in Oceanside and then relaxed the day away.
So relaxed!
Ending of the year 2018
We headed to the Safari Park...
It was a great day (the crowds were down due to the rain.
This Cheetah was so active! Even though it doesn't look like it on this photo, she was running around every few minutes. They put a K-9 with the cheetahs here as typically Cheetahs are nervous animals and the K-9 keeps them calm. Pretty neat to see them interacting. Unsure what was causing her activity, the zoo volunteer says she's never seen anything like it.
Ok (I can't remember the name of this bird). but it was hilarious. It kept trying to peck J's hand through the glass....it never gave up!
This Kangaroo had a Joey with her, we saw it's head pop out once, but it hid quite quickly. I can't say I blame the joey as it was rather chilly outside.
Now we move onto our next adventure. The experience of snow in California....
And this crazy road.....hairpin turns in the dark...at fast speeds. The map looks like a young child took hold of hit and scribbled on it, but no that is how the road was!
First dinner in our new place.
Last Dinner of 2018.
We have been richly blessed in 2018.

Great pics! Legoland looks like a lot of fun.
