Entering 2019



Our 2019 started out great!
The girls made breakfast in this massive kitchen.  It was delicious!



I am going to miss this coffee break by the pool, watching my kids have the greatest of time!

After pool time and some shopping we went to visit some family.  It was a great visit!  We were super spoiled and the kids were allowed to play the grand piano with a lot of encouragement!

The next day and our last full day in California we went off to explore the Indian Canyons.  Where Oasis meets the desert.





After a "long hard" walk through the desert it was time to head back to the pool and get cool...

That was it!  We had one last night before heading off to the airport the next day.
We landed in Seattle and spent the night there, of course had to spend some time in the hotel pool before the drive home as well.  
Now that we are home and "settled" in we are ready for one more day of rest before tackling some exciting things for 2019!

    Happy new year Carla and fam! Looks like a great way to end the year together...beautiful pictures, and that pool and sunshine is looking pretty good right now :)

A little bubbly

This was the very first night that I officially slept well.  Finally transitioned over to the Dutch time zone.... Started the day with by filling the stomach with a good Dutch style breakfast.  If you're not Dutch could you guess what it is? With full stomachs we headed out for the day.  It was a rather frightening start down the skinny Dutch little road.  It barely can handle a bike and a car passing each other.  So to our surprise a massive semi truck was barreling down the road.  We pulled over in a pullout but  became trapped between a large truck and the canal. That canal was not looking too pretty for a swim.... Glad we didn't end up going for that swim and the we had no extra rental car bills to pay as the truck nearly missed the sideview mirror.  After safely arriving to the park n' ride we caught the bus.  This is a fantastic system if you're in Holland!  It cost 5 Euro to park the car and ride the bus for up to 5 people! ...

In Memory of Dad

The words don't come easily this time around.  The grief of the past year has swirled around and all the firsts were experienced without our Dad about.  What do you say....you need to move on.  Somedays are easier than others and somedays you don't want to go through, but you do, because we live in the land of the living.  We have a testimony to give, this world is only but a breaking ground for what is to come.  This earth is a temporary home, the brokenness of it, in it will pass away one day, but today we keep on living.  May our Heavenly Father continue to surround our family as we live without people we love.  May He give us the strength to be a living testimony and a light shining to those in darkness, even if we feel dark some days, may even that little spark of light give others hope! Precious are these memories when we went over for Dad day visits.  This was the mr. E's birthday....we celebrated with cupcakes.  He received money...

Christmas Blessings to you!

Wishing you and your families a wonderful Christmas Season.  The season full of GREAT News and JOY.  God isn't just a serious, he grants us the biggest joy we could ever have.  And so we can reflect on this past 2015 in the remembrance that all we've been given, the good, the bad, the unknown, any happenings and say it was all part of God's plan, his perfect and good will! *It's been a whirlwind of a year, many changes happened in 2015 for us.  We lived without being able to tell my Mom every crazy thing that happened in our lives good or bad. *We moved neighbourhoods which was a good thing and a a sad thing all at the same time.  Our kids this morning still asked to move back to our "old" house.  (A family see we still Love you). *Everyone of our blessings grew one year older and remained healthy and happy *We did some great family adventures, some individual work travels and some travelling as a pair.  Those adventures (minus the work ones...
