Day 2 Miami

Image
As I am typing this the sun has long set, the ocean is not visible, but you use your other senses and just hear the waves crash into shore.  The winds and the rains have calmed down today, but the dark grey skies are still lingering today.  The warmth is fantastic though, so who care about the grey skies??  As we're told today that we're just working on our base tan......hahaha red head tan, yeah not so much, but at least I have no threat of burning either! The morning started out fantastic here.  Slept in and ate breakfast on the patio while we watched the dark clouds roll by at super speeds and listened to the waves and watched the kite boarders fly around in them. We were a little behind schedule as where we wanted to be, but thought heading to worship was better then not going.  So we headed into the city for service.  Well we're unsure what an 11 o'clock start time means here.  We arrived 11:05 and were the first people besides the pastor. ...

Anniversary get-a-way

With many travels on the plate of D for the month I'd thought I'd attempt to sneak in along on a trip as well..  This of course requires prep for many different things.  So thank you to those who are taking all our lovely little people under their wings for the next few days.  It's also nice knowing we have some great people living in our home at all times so we can leave that secure as well....They may be partying up there, but we'll never know :) The day of travel or before always seems to need some sort of medical attention.....last trip it was a root canal.  This time the kids had terrible colds and needed meds.  It only took me like 200 km of driving and 4+ hours of my day to sort out a Dr. Visit and the proper pharmacist to assist.  Hopefully Ms. A is starting to pick up and the others aren't getting any worse.  Hard on a me as a mom to leave them like this, but the dr said anyone can bring them in if need be.  What a blessing our medi...

We're still around doing things.....

Hit up the PNE before school started.....I was contemplating of sending out the family picture as our Christmas card this year....But I've changed my hair style since then so it wouldn't qualify.  (Well that's the excuse I'm going to use) These 3 are in full time school.  Where does the time go..... Which means I get to go on dates with this guy to our local coffee shop  Exploring the woods across the road... These are some extraordinary views we get to explore in our backyard.  Or out our kitchen window. The sunrises are just amazing.  Went on a hike with B's class.  It was a gorgeous day! Pretty cool to have a cousin in your class!   That's my brother in law in the photo not the hubby...hahaha Flew over to Calgary to visit my sisters.... This was a "hike" we did.  Wasn't as challenging as the above one. It was a good visit!   I'll stop in during the spring again...I'll leave the snowy s...

Emerald, Jade....

"  And he who sat there had the appearance of  jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was  a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. "  Revelation 4:3 Add in a rainbow to the above images and it's just a piece of what my Mom and Dad are enjoying at this time..... "And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet" Rev. 4: part of 1 And this must be marvellous!   Today is a day we remember the loss of our Mom.  Although she departed earth 2 years ago so much has happened and changed in our lives since that day. From a whirlwind of dealing with a sick Dad, to losing our Dad as well.  So it's not just her we miss on this day we also are missing him.  Some times it's difficult to know how to pick up the pieces of life.  Sometimes we feel we miss out on certain things in life.  Connections that only your parents hold.  Or the connection of parents in your life.  Even with the offe...

Summer Life

Image
Summer = Laziness Well sort of...... We've moved, renovated, camped, travelled and now are attempting at settling into our new home...it's taking time to feel at home here.   The space and view are lovely, the new town is just taking some getting used to...... Here are some fun photos of our summer days. Picked and ate strawberries Watched the local parade in honour of our countries birthday. Renovations is a family effort!  Shout out to all those who helped us sweat out the hours of wall building, closet building, painting trim and more trim, fixing floors, toilets and much more.  Still have a few pieces to finish off.....but our renters are living in there.....wondering when we'll ever be done ;) Testing out the new backyard...... Experiencing life outside of the house for 6 nights at camp.  thanks   Stepping Stones  for taking care of our daughter well! Summer Date night....doing one of my f...
