Beach to History
yesterday was our last day in Ambergris Caye. We chilled with a massage by the beach, shopped a few local stores and ended the night with a sail into the sunset. Yes found a prime location for sunset....however the clouds didn’t allow us to witness anything too exciting. The water, music and drinks aboard the searious adventure was great.
The last morning began early with having to catch a taxi to the airport and fly back to mainland Belize. Here we met up with our own tour guide and headed for a history lesson at the Altun Ha Mayan Ruins. We hit this historic site to very few tourists so it was fantastic. Once we were finished our tour 2 huge groups came in for a tour along with a heavy rain shower. The kind you need to duck for cover from.
We’re now settled into Belize city at the Red Hut inn. Where we are swinging in hammocks listening to today’s endless rain...makes going home a little more desirable.

The Belize experience has been fun and adventurous. Due to the intense rainfall overnight we didn’t experience the cave tubing adventure I was really hoping to go on. Who knows if the opportunity will happen again?
One last night here before we travel home.
The best we saw of the sunset....long before it even went down.
Inside our place we stayed at. It was really nice!!
Birds Eye view of the waters
hahaha....something about this photo only our tour guide could convince us to do this ;)
Think the Mayans would've done such crazy things???
This is a photo of the main highway in Belize.... And the results of the rainfall.....
