Summer and Blessings

Sunshine, sun tans, yummy food, fresh fruit, growing veggies, boating, fireworks, beach days, relaxing, dreaming.  *sigh* can't summertime last forever?  I always suggest to my dear husband that we should really move to Hawaii one day.  Than we could have summer year round.  I guess you wouldn't appreciate it as much, but it sure would be fun heading to the beach regularly, boogie boarding, snorkeling and maybe actually learning to surf.  Yes, its a dream of mine that probably would never come true, but if we ever did move there you would come visit no?
Anyways on to blessings.......
Thanks to a dear friend who got me such a good deal on strawberries.
don't they just look plump and delicious???  We put most of them in our freezer, ate a few and made the rest into jam.

My precious oldest daughter more than eager to help out with this project.  Who wouldn't have fun when they are 3 smashing berries, stirring in sugar and pectin wearing the apron just for her? Being proud as can be for helping making some delicious jam.

Or my precious youngest who was helping with the jam process too, but got distracted because it was break time.  And who isn't excited to have PINK ice cream cones fully of yummy ice cream for a treat? (topped with some fresh strawberries).

Than there was the day we went and picked the most plump and delicious blueberries for free.  Thanks to my brother and sister-in-law who live on a blueberry farm.  We washed these plump things and put loads in our freezer.  Of course we've been munching on them as well and putting them in muffins.
We are so abundantly blessed as our freezer is filling up with produce and were also thankful to our parents who have supplied us with meat.  We aren't going to go hungry around here.

Than there are the times with friends.  Nothing beats running in and out of the sprinkler giggling away, making memories.

Occasionally we end up with a injury or two.  This little monkey woke up one morning squinty away as the pesty mosquito made her eye swell up.  She didn't complain once about it and even smiled for the camera.
We hope as we are being blessed that we can also bless others with the many gifts were given.
Have a great day and keep enjoying and dreaming this summer time.
