Arrival to our resort
As we waited for him to get his vehicle we are watching people being picked up in old ratty vehicles or in the back of pick ups. That's how the locals go I guess. We however enjoyed a nice air conditioned ride in a cushy vehicle.
A lot of the drive was culture shock. People on the side of the roads everywhere! Selling mountains of coconuts. Children and women walking along the side of the highway. Occasionally a horse and rider. Old busses packed full of people. Shanty huts and shacks for homes. The countryside was beautiful though. Palm trees and tropical plants.
We didn't take any photos along the way. About every 15-20 minutes d and I would conk out for a snooze. Neither of us really slept on the plane.
After just over 2 hours we arrived to our resorts town. We passed by the egg delivery truck. It was amazing those flats of eggs probably stacked 20 high tied in with a rope in the back of a little Mitsubishi truck. Sorry no picture. No refrigerated truck nor any packaging in this case. Wonder how many make it to market whole?
Well we arrive to the end of the road with only beach access available. The resort staff huffed our luggage over there shoulders and carried it down the beach to our resort. Of course we arrived early so we had to hang out in the cabana.
We were served coconut water. Off all the times we've been somewhere tropical we've never had a coconut before. It was very refreshing!
Again we snoozed on and off while loving the sun and heat. Our room was ready early for us.
The view out our door

Quick walk by the beach.
Sipping on the most amazing frozen pineapple beverage poolside.
One more nap before dinner. Beachside hammock.
Waiting for our first nights dinner. We had the whole resort to ourselves on Friday. It was very relaxing!
Amazing dinner! Baked potato with a bunch of toppings. Then a skewer or pinto with chicken fish and prawn the best pineapple ever! Tomato salad and rice. All to candle light and wine along with Apple chocolate cake. (Drool drool)
We finished our evening with a movie and fell asleep to the ocean waves crashing.

Looks sooo gorgeous!
