New place
This to the right...a much poorer part of town then where we stayed.
At breakfast we watched some cute little children who were going to town. They were probably 5 and 3 maybe??? Anyways off the two of them go alone (can't even imagine my kids going to the corner store at that age...)
And run through the dirty looking water and the garbage pile happily. Before we knew it they were coming back with we think some fruit. Skipping and smiling until the little guy finds a water bottle in the dirty water and picks it up to take home. I think maybe his sister didn't think it was a good idea either so he got mad plunked to the ground a wouldn't move until the sister let him take the bottle home....I just keep hoping he doesn't get sick! Of course the local people are immune to all the bacteria in the water.
Here is the contrast photo of our walk. The little river seperates the poor from the rich.
I think we weren't recommend to walk here because the people are trying to sell things. We must've gone out to early? Only 1 lady came running to us to eat at her restaurant.
The housing here was also very interesting. It's like an apartment complex. You have your 1 room to sleep and change. Bathrooms are shared with the whole complex and you have a common area on the middle. My guess is for cooking and eating. We didn't want to look to touristy. Oh wait I'm still very white....
After returning to our hotel and sitting poolside our ride arrived to take us to our next destination. What should've been a 45 minute drive turned into a 2 hour drive. The owner at Sabas gave the driver the wrong hotel name. At least we weren't heading to the airport...
Ocean view from our room.
Half of the inside.
On our bed...I think it's a flower???
Frozen Pineapple beverage at the beach restaurant.
We settled in and i had a massage by the beach we had dinner and that ended our day.
