Living in Luxury
Orlando here we are!
What a turn in accommodations. We are living for the next 5 nights in luxury. Yes a gorgeous 5 bedroom condo with our own private pool and cool tub ( the hot tub doesn't seem to work), a thing1/thing2 room a Mickey Mouse room and some other Beautiful rooms. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of some aunties and an uncle.
How our day was today.....well since everyone was awake before sunrise we thought it would be a fun thing to do with the kids. We all headed down to the beach for an amazing sunrise and some playtime on the beach. The photos should be good :). Of course this worked up all our appetites so back into the condo for a quick breakfast because getting into the pool couldn't happen fast enough. Actually everyone ate so quickly we had 1/2 hour to pack up the suitcases before heading down to the pool.
The kids are really getting more comfortable around the water. A is doing dive after dive. B is jumping into the deeper water and swimming with more confidence. E is jumping in with his life jacket unassisted. They were all sad to leave the pool behind....but also are very excited to meet Mickey and the Princesses soon.
Our drive to Orlando from Ft. lauderdale went better then expected. Everyone had a nap, well except D. He had to keep his eyes peeled on the road to keep those crazy tourists from crashing into him ( he isn't a crazy tourist or anything).
We finally arrived in our gated community and were granted permission to take all 4 kids that we have (today I heard a lady say wow that's a crazy family) and unlocked the front door to this massive house. It was so fun running around exploring it. We did have to clean up quite a few big ugly long spiky looking beetles (all dead!) and one dead lizard and D had to catch a live lizard from the girls room. See they are all cool until they want to live with you. The girls caught a spider in the pool....the luxury of living in the tropics.
The only problem was the cupboards and fridge are empty.....so shopping time it is. Now Orlando is CRAZY!!! There are tourists everywhere it was a mad house that is for sure. Of course we went shopping with all the other tourists in the grocery store. Thankfully the cashier and grocery bagger (?) were super friendly and helpful even if we were all Canadian tourists. ( I think pretty good since Americans aren't known to be friendly)
Upon our return the kids just had to have their nightly swim. They are all now tucked away into thing 1 and thing 2 bed as well as in mickeys bed and a boring old crib.
Not too bad of a day....we just have to get used to a busy city after the laid back beach bum life.
A shout out to my sister and to our little 2 yr old niece HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
We wish everyone a restful day tomorrow.
