The happy place on earth
Day 1 at the magical place is done and over. D's nightmare of cranky, miserable, screaming children didn't come true, thankfully!
But Let's start with yesterday...it wasn't an overly crazy day. In fact it was a truly restful day. We started out with the aroma of cinnamon buns wafting through the house. Then the swimming began. There was a Lot of swimming all day long. Uncle D is the hero around here! (Sorry Auntie j and L , you were great entertainment too!)
As we were swimming we had an airplane show above us. Actually it was our short and to the point sermon for the morning. The first message was Love God. The next message was U + Jesus = :) there was one or more messages yet (but it's late and my mind is sleepy).
We also took a break in the day to watch our churches live feed. It was another fabulous sermon.
What did our 2 yr. old do on this day? He played in the pantry......he also locked himself in the girls bedroom. I was worried he was going to need daddy to break into another door to get him out, but he managed to get out of their unharmed.
Even though our pastor kept reminding us that we were to eat turkey dinner at some point this weekend we had a delicious spaghetti dinner and another dip in the pool to end of our day.
Now we are back to today. Mr J was our early riser so he and D went out for a morning stroll in the neighbourhood. We are in a gated community and well a lot of the houses are the same. Not too exciting, but it kept Mr. J happy and his mom who loves sleeping I :)
After breakfast we took along Auntie L too the Magic Kingdom. We had tossed around the idea whether or not too visit this zoo, but we are so glad we did. many times the kids had big eyes and were excited a bout the things we saw and did. Plus animals are just so cool. The highlights of the day were the Safari ride. A loved the giraffes, B loved the crocodiles, E wanted to go hunting....yes he asked that out loud on the safari. ( we don't hunt, but great friends of ours do, maybe he will have to gone day, just not in the zoo!). Another highlight was the Dinosaur ride. I think E could've done that over and over. I'm sure he's going to love the Dumbo ride on Wednesday. The Nemo show was really fun to watch. The parade was cool. Mr J is good at getting the characters attention quite a few of them came over to try get him to smile....what's with him? Must be all those rolls. The big "low"light of the day was the bugs life. The girls didn't appreciate this one at all! D stayed behind with two napping boys while we we're spit on, sprayed on, stunked up or had bugs crawling under us on causing L to let out a shriek ( she denies it though ). I had fun minus the hornet sting...that one wasn't so cool. My low point was coming back here and going through our pictures and realizing how nice and tan the rest of the family is getting.....I'm definitely the odd one out ( ok J is too).
Anyways our day went fabulously and were thankful. Tomorrow is break day for us as the aunties and uncle head to Harry Potter world.
